I'm a newbie!

Well, here we go. I'm going to attempt a blog. I can't even keep up with Facebook or Totsites, BUT...we're going to do this. POSITIVE THOUGHTS!!!

Today is July 4th, and we have absolutely no plans. Kevin is off to work and I was supposed to be tidying up around here. Ha.

Avery is dead to the world napping, the dogs are locked in the backyard, and I am enjoying the peace and quiet! I'll take peace, quiet, and relaxation in a dirty house over sweating and scrubbing any day. Well, most days anyway.

Our fridge went out on us yesterday and we lost quite a bit of food. I was able to salvage some items I had just bought by taking them across the street to the neighbors' house. She let me use her 400 yr old fridge in her garage. Not quite sure that was a better situation, but I couldn't back out at that point. Well, she's gone out of town and forgot to leave the garage open for me. Lovely. So, back to the store I went! Now, I think we can survive...I've got milk, eggs and cheese. Avery will be pleased.

But, now I've got a nice, black and shine side by side Whirlpool to fill! If I didn't have to pay for it, I would be almost giddy with excitement. Ah, the joys of home-ownership.

No promises on this blog (MOM), but I will do my best to catalog our boring day to day excitements. Well see if anyone enjoys them...
